Twenty years. It still doesn’t quite sound real when we say it out loud.

Back in 2006, Pro Cool was one bloke, one Ute, and a phone that wouldn’t stop ringing. We started out of the family home with a simple idea – turn up when we said we would, do the job properly, and treat people the way we’d want to be treated. That was the whole plan.

Two decades on, we’re still doing exactly that – just with a fleet of service vehicles, a busy workshop in Maitland, and a team that’s become part of the Hunter Valley furniture. Whether it’s a haul truck out on a mine site at 2am, a refrigerated trailer in the middle of summer, a train that needs climate control sorted, or a commercial job across the region, we’re lucky enough to be the ones people call.

How We Got Here

From that first vehicle in 2006, we grew one job at a time. Mining, earthmoving, transport, rail, and commercial refrigeration – the work found us, and we found ways to look after it 7 days a week. The workshop came next, then more techs, then more Utes 

None of that growth happened in a vacuum. Every milestone has someone behind it – a customer who took a punt on us early, a supplier who answered the phone after hours, a tech who stayed late so a client could roll out the next morning. That’s the real story of these 20 years.

What’s Next

We’re not going anywhere. The same crew, the same standards, the same phone number – just with a bit more grey in the beard and a few more trucks on the road. We’ll keep investing in our team, our workshop, and the technology we use, so the next generation of Pro Cool customers gets the same straight-up service the first ones did.
